Structural biologist. Managing Director of the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Physiology, Adjunct Professor at Technical University Dortmund and Honorary Professor at University of Duisburg-Essen. His group combines biochemical reconstitution, cryo-EM and cryo-ET to study macromolecular complexes involved in muscle contraction, cytoskeletal dynamics and bacterial infection.
Author of over 140 papers and more than 200 invited lectures worldwide; member of the Max Planck Society, the North Rhine-Westphalian Academy of Sciences and Arts, the Leopoldina and EMBO. 

Professor of Molecular Biochemistry at the University of Münster, following seven years as Group Leader at the Chemical Genomics Centre of the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Physiology in Dortmund. 

The ‘t Hart lab investigates RNA-binding proteins involved in mRNA regulation using peptide inhibitors.

Coordinates the Drug Discovery Division at the National Laboratory of Biosciences (LNBio/CNPEM, Campinas, SP). She holds a degree in Biological Sciences (2003), a Master's in Biotechnology (2006), and a PhD in Biomolecular Physical Sciences (2010), all from Brazilian universities (UFSC and USP), with postdoctoral work at UNICAMP, Scripps (USA), and the University of Nottingham (England). Her research focuses on discovering bioactive natural products and allosteric modulators of pharmaceutical proteins, and she develops new tools for their characterization and production in drug discovery projects with Academia and Industry.
